fluid CityRider Black 10Ah (UL certified) Reviews

40 degrees F 1st ride to my bank 1/2 mi. I connected to minrobot & turned off cruse / selected S1 at 8 mph. the pavement was only a few weeks old & the sun came out . The thumb throttle was really responsive as well as the brakes I am impressed & will need a few more hours / rides to really get a feel, but for the price & some reviews of $1000 scooters, I think that this will be most excellent & fun this summer riding all the river trails ( yes, I wore my helmet & gloves ) So smooth & stable. You need to keep focused, it can get squirrely. Just keep fingers on brake & be ready to bale if necessary. Thanks - but the bell needs to be updated -more of a dink - my only negative so far

So we bought 2 of these scooters. They're really nice. Tough built. Looks good. Sleek black paint and wheels. Blinkers work great. Brakes work great. Feels safe. Only thing I'd keep in mind is I am 240 pounds. The max weight for it is 220 pounds.... The scooter for me won't go past 17 mph. And uphills slows to 11 mph. Im upgrading to the horizon. But the city rider is a fantastic scooter.

*Week 2 Review Here* The Cityrider is aptly named. I use mine for inner-city commutes in Manhattan, which has saved me lots of time and money. A few things potential buyers should know: 1) My scooter was delivered with a broken fork cover (plastic). I reached out to CS immediately, and a free replacement part and detailed instructions for the repair was sent next day. Two thumbs up for Fluid's responsive CS! 2) Easy to lock up the frame with a traditional U-lock 3) Like many other entry-level e-scooters, you're dealing with Chinese manufacturing, which hasn't been an issue for me yet, but does make me nervous in the event of a major repair. Also, the Cityrider manual has clearly been translated into English and does not read well. 4) The rear disc brake sometimes scraps against the wheel and makes a loud sound when in motion, haven't been able to address this issue yet. 5) The front light is not nearly bright enough for a night scoot, and the bell not nearly loud enough for Manhattan streets. Small upgrades to buy, but a bit annoying :/ Overall, after extensive research this fall, Cityrider is the best e-scoot value for the price!

Worth every penny. Solidly built. Goes to 18 mph as described. Does not get weaker as battery level goes down. I'll be sure to upgrade eventually because Fluid is awesome.

We tried a fluid rider on vacation this summer. My girls (teens) loved it! We bought one for our teen for her birthday. She and her sister cruise around the neighborhood. Thank you for listing everything that should be worn while riding (helmet and wrist guards). It supported my request that these MUST be worn when riding. We chose the City Rider. It is perfect --- fast enough.

The first two scooters I got were both defects, where first one made clicking noises in the front tire and second one didnt turn on at all, so I returned them both over the course of 2 weeks to finally get a normal scooter. The customer survice was great and the scooter is really nice, so just hope that you don't get a defect when you buy one!

The Fluid City Rider is the best all-around scooter I can yet still find even after purchase. I have poured weeks of research and comparisons of price and features and parts and maintenance and nothing comes close. I still stumble across links for really nice scooters and feared I've made the wrong decision in my purchase a half-dozen time but always, upon inspection, I come to the same conclusion: The Fluid City Rider is the best all-around beginner scooter in it's price range with the best maintenance and parts support on the market that I can find. The take-off is smoothe. The honeycomb wheels and motor are ample at the least. The frame is solid and the look and design of the scooter turns heads everywhere I go. It arrived far sooner than I'd hoped and I put it together in minutes. It was rideable before the sun went down and what a beautiful sunset it was. Maintenance support on the fluid free ride website is a dream (I needed help with mild alignment) and I have utter peace of mind with the scooter's longevity. I can ride it like a hellbent beast but I prefer to coast and my commute is now a breeze. I have already collected a dozen ideal accessories for it and I feel I could trot the globe with the City Rider. Keep the board clean (it attracts dust), keep the frame dry/clean/well protected (there is some negligible emerging rust inside the hinge thus-far I may have to tend to), I think the underside should be coddled (not abused) and the app enablement is the Scottie for this Enterprise - don't forget it.
