“Update!! Fluidfreeride stuff contact me back and help me solved some issues. I will give star back to 5/5 for the support team but stay the same 2/5 for the horizon because all the issues I got for the new condition product.
The scooter itself was fine I have small issues about weird sound after long distance rode and some other problems but the point I was complain is the support team they responde ok(with in 24hr) but my issue still not solved until these days. At first day one I sent the email about issues and waiting for another day they respond back and asked me more details I replied very detailed and waited another day they told me another department will contact me and waited another day they told me they gonna call me but I can't make it that day so I replied back to appointment to another day then they disappeared until now it's been 4 days since it's start and yes this's new scooter and only small problems but I still not get any advice or sort of help about my issues so disappointing. I was planning to orders the mantis model but I may have to look for other places it's cheaper actually since the support part is the reason I want to pay more here over them.”
“I like the speed and the smoother ride but I wish the speed setting would not reset back to 1 every time it powers off, also the trip odometer resets back to 0.
Plus additional things like the handle are very pricey for what they are. It's still a very nice scooter though I will just get the handle and leave it at that since I really need it!”
“I recently purchased and received the Horizon scooter. It works great although I could only get it to 23mph on a flat road. On their website it says it promises a 25mph top speed and I would've liked to see that as I am more consistently getting 21-22mph. I was only able to get it over 23mph if the surface I was riding on was angled downward. I'm only a 145lb rider as well. Other than that, the scooter feels great and works well. Fluid Freeride has been very responsive and helpful. I had preordered this scooter and they emailed me saying it wasn't going to ship until 5 days later than they expected so they were sending me the bigger battery version. Very good service on their end!
The headlights on this scooter would have to be my only other complaint. They aren't bright enough to see but a few feet in front of you at night. Pretty scary at 20+mph. There is also no light that shines out from the handle bars. I may get a headlight to attach to the top of the handlebars so I'm more visible by people, and can see the roads better myself.”
“I'm 5'-9" and 155lbs. Over 2500 miles on a GoTrax GXL in ten months prior to the Horizon. Two months into the Horizon, I've added 450 miles. The FFR 2019 Horizon is an excellent buy for the money. A solid step up from a Xiaomi class scooter. You're getting a scooter that can easily hit 20mph for 20 miles real-world conditions. Not perfect nor problem-free, but a solid choice.
The downsides first. FFR is not at fault, as they're only a distributor.
Solid rear tire. You lose stability/traction. It is also your braking wheel.
The deck is a bit small, but still comfortable for daily commuting. Longer trips you may feel the need for something bigger
The kickstand SUCKS. I modified it so I don't have the precarious leaning.
Front lighting is only to be seen.
The folding handlebars limit space for accessories. They fold and need room for the threaded areas to secure them. While riding, you will periodically feel the need to tighten them.
No rear reflector.
The good:
Braking: While it is a drum brake, on a solid tire, you will have no trouble stopping. Practice quick stops, under controlled conditions so you know what to expect.
Range: If you do not need speed, you can expect 20mph for close to 20 miles on relatively flat terrain.
Handlebar height. It is adjustable.
The front light on the fender. Woefully ineffective for seeing where you are going at night. It has an exposed wire feeding it. I clipped that wire and added in my own exterior lighting so it turns on and off with the scooter wiring.
The suspension is awesome. A heavier rider may bottom out on big surface deviations.
Wide handlebars: Yes the space for accessories is limited, but you can add extensions. The wide handlebar spacing is extremely comfortable and stable. With their width, the folding mechanism is nice.
The front-wheel split rim. Easy front tire changes.
The 2019 Horizon is solid.
The photo shown below was taken before my kickstand modification. The second photo, the modification to the kickstand.”
“The Horizon- all around is so amazing, this little thing is so versatile and easy to operate. The kids and I take our scooters out for a family "scoot scoots" each night before dust to bond and chase frogs at the neighborhood pond. It literally goes 25mph with my 70lbs kids on it and around 23mph with my big dad body (220lbs) on it. The ladies can't resist a dad on a scooter out with his kids taking a "scoot scoot"...lol. Everything from the LED lights to the suspension, this thing is awesome. I didn't know they even make family fun like this. So COOL!
Thanx!

“I don't usually leave reviews, but this thing is awesome. I researched scooters for a few months before pulling the trigger on the horizon, and I think I made the right choice. I cruise around 22mph, and can make my 5 mile morning commute in under 20 mins. It feels much more stable at higher speeds than the Segways due to the dual suspension. Weight isn't too bad to carry, and it isn't too large to walk either. Definitely a great all around ride.”
“Customer service got back to me **within 3 hours!** about the broken display mine shipped with and is sending me a new one ASAP, which has changed my mind about the company and I'm bumping my review up to 5 stars. I was also a little confused by the preorder process, but the scooter itself is very well-engineered and the ride is fluid. It doesn't accelerate shockingly fast, which is probably for the best in terms of safety. The motor sounds like it's pulling hard, especially in third gear, but it handles hills well. The best part of the scooter is the suspension. It's lightyears better than anything else I've had. The scooter is heavy, which I don't mind because it's solidly constructed out of good materials. It looks like it's going to last a long time and it's fun to drive.”
“Delivery was pretty fast considering I don't live in the US. I've only had it for a short time and have yet to take it for a long run but so far the Horizon has worked as advertised. The controls, battery, motor, brakes, suspension have all performed well. My one gripe is the throttle (a thumb control would be better IMO). I can't comment on range, long-distance-ride or the longevity/durability so take that into consideration when reading this review BUT for now I give it 4/5. The Horizon is solid, fast and smooth at lower speeds (at high speed you'll need to learn how and when to bounce it). So far a great purchase!”
