WideWheel PRO Throttle Upgrade Reviews

4.3 Rating 62 Reviews
Tricky to install with the stock tools. Needed to use harder, better quality tips than the one provided with the scooter to get the screws out( which arrived thread locked). Care needs to be taken to avoid stripping the screws. Once installed it's smoother so not as much jumping around but the lag is still present, just no longer as much of an issue.

Installing throttle was a bit of challenge. The screws on my scooter turned out be phillip screw heads and not the one with Allen key heads. This was hard to notice because the holes in the display was deep and very hard to see. It was only after I used a flashlight to find out why the Allen wrench won't working. I noticed the were phillip head screws.

The throttle upgrade is much better than the original throttle. It was very very hard to switch out though. Just be careful and take your time and everything will be fine.

I've had the wide wheel pro for a couple of months now and I have one complaint. The back tire rim, a small piece broke off the outer edge this is unexpectble I thought the rim would have been a lot tougher. I would understand if I was offroad riding it but I only ride it on paved roads to work. The new throttle system is great, I'll give that 5 stars.

I received the new throttle quickly and I installed it by myself following the instructions sent by fluidfreeride. It's great that the website let me know about this upgrade and that also several other spare parts for the scooter are available to purchase. If in the future I would need another scooter I will definitily purchase it from fluidfreeride.

Installation wasn't bad except getting the handlebar grip off. Have another person hold the scooter while you twist it off. Otherwise rest of installation was easy. The throttle really didn't make much of difference. It still doesn't have a smooth acceleration, the numbers do go up by 1 but the throttle is still super sensitive and jerks you a lot when trying to control your speed. Honestly I could do the same thing with the original throttle. Had to try it to really know but too much of a pain now to take it back off. They still haven't been able to have a smooth throttle like the Boosted Rev. Too bad they didn't get the technology from boosted after they went under.

After installing the new throttle, acceleration is so much smoother now. If you haven't done the upgrade, I highly advise you do it ASAP!
