“I questioned the wisdom of buying an electric scooter at almost 60 years old. But by the time I finished my second ride, I was hooked. I call my Mantis Fluid Edition my "magic carpet" because I can imagine that That's likely how it might feel to ride on a magic carpet. I love to scoot around the historic district near our home and just take it all in. I am respectful of bikes and people on foot, and I have only had positive experiences.
I have only two issues with the scooter. The first is that my scooter came with one of the bolts that hold in the kickstand already completely stripped out. The second issue is that after my first hard stop at speed, the rear brake rotor warped a bit and now it makes a scuffing noise every time it passes the warp. These issues are not deal breakers, but they are disappointing after spending $1,600.00. I suppose I will need to go to a bike shop and have the bolt for the kickstand tapped out for a slightly larger bolt. And there is just not much I can do about the brake rotor.
At the end of the day, I am happy I made the purchase and I look forward to more magic carpet rides.”
