I love the Mantis! A friend bought one and I had to get my own! What was life like before...?

This Mantis scooter is a beast for sure. The ride is smooth and the scooter is fast as hell. My sincere issue is the back tire rubbing against the brake pads. This is not my fault because the scooter is brand new. After taking it to two bike shops, both people said it is a defect. The brakes were adjusted and still it rubs.... This may not seem like an issue but this scooter is very fast to have break issues. I guess it was with my expectation to use the scooter for a few months at least without any issue. :( womp womp However, within the first hour I detected this problem. Now what... I am left to play email tag with customer service reps and wait 24 hours for a reply back.... Customer service needs to improve with actual office hours. It is crazy to spend close to 2k and not have the ability to use it or the option to speak to someone to fix the issue. If you are looking to lock the scooter outside, this would not be a good purchase... Also, keep in mind the scooter is about 60 pounds. If you live in an apartment you need to consider the weight if you want to carry it up a flight of stairs. So to sum my review up.... I would recommend this scooter if you personally are handy with bike repairs or live near a bike shop.

I have the Mantis when it came in the mail I did not have working brakes. I took it to a bike shop because I had no idea about hydraulic brakes the man at the bike shop said there was air in my brake line you changed the fluid and pushed the air out and the brakes still don't work he said that they're defaulty. I almost crashed the other day because my brakes didn't work and almost died I haven't jumped on my scooter since brakes still don't work.

I've been abusing my Mantis Scooter for about two weeks. This is the greatest travel investment to make period! The frame is solid and the suspension is great for potholes. After getting acquainted with the various speeds and braking, I realized this a very versatile scooter for beginners and advanced users. I'm extremely glad I made this purchase!

I ride my mantis to work which is two miles away on my bike path and I beat most of my colleagues because I don't have traffic lights to attend to and traffic. Everything about my Mantis is great! Built exceptionally well, and worth every penny of three cost. The only thing I wish it had would be a software security code log in hooked up to your smart phone and my Mantis, I'd feel more at ease. Anyway, I lock it up in my work locker, but i see other scooters having this security set up. Sincerely, Sergio F. Palencia
