MANTIS 2025 - fluid Edition Legacy Trigger Throttle Display 18.2Ah - 33 miles range Reviews

4.5 Rating 470 Reviews
First, I received the scooter with two flat tires. Fun! Also, within the first day of turning it on, it stopped taking a charge. I spent weeks going back and forth with Fluid's customer "service," which you should know is just an endless rabbit hole of sending messages back and forth - they'll only send you one message per day. They suggested things that never worked, like trying a new charger, etc. Then they told me that the tire replacement was entirely on me, as tires are my responsibility (again, it came with two flats). I finally gave up and took the scooter to a local shop. Their settings were all messed up and the shop is STILL attempting to fix.

Received my pre-ordered mantis exactly on the suggested shipping/delivery date and in perfect condition. The tires are even upgraded to the thicker 3" tires which was a pleasant surprise! Very happy with fluid so far

The scooter quality is great. I only hope that I don't have any issues with the scooter that requires me to seek customer service. When placing my order the website kicked me out, I checked my email to see if my order went through. I did not receive any emails so I went back in and placed my order again. When my scooter came I had 2. I returned one because I only wanted one. And after jumping through all the hoops to obtain a refund for the one I did not order the company kept $100.00 of my money!! I feel like the company stole $100.00 from me. They explained to me that it is the company's return policy to retain $100.00. I never read or saw that when purchasing. and regardless It was never my intention to order two scooters.

I purchased this scooter at the beginning of June to replace my car as a way to save money to commute to work. Initially I was extremely impressed by the quality of the scooter. The smoothness of the ride was excellent. A week or two into my experience, the throttle fails, no problem, fluid sent a new one. Back to normal. Next issue comes in the form of the rear hydraulic brake failing and becoming squishy. After a ton of time waiting for the hydraulic fluid kit, I followed the video to try and replace the fluid. No luck. Next thing I need to try, bleed the brakes, kit doesn't have the right tool. In the midst of all this, the rear tire just decides to lose pressure. Nothing keeps it up, I pump it up and nothing, there are no obvious puncture sites. I don't know why it decided to deflate like that. Still waiting on a response for that. So, in conclusion, it's a phenomenal scooter when the darn thing decides to work. It just seems like one thing after another.

I got this as a commuter for a hilly area, and it does a great job! The staff were also great to work with and get things straightened out.

Great scooter when it works so I gave 2 stars. 1 month in and 131 miles later, the headlight doesn't turn off. I researched that this is a problem other people had, but they still have to sell their batch of stock. So fluid says they can either send me the light board controller and switch myself or bring it in their shop. Their shop had over 3 weeks out just to bring it in. So I went with self replacement. I have a full set of tools and I'm a mechanic. Switched out the light board, but the motors were running very weak maybe 20% power. So i switched the original light board back in and now the scooter doesnt power up at all. I complained enough to get pushed to the front of the line as a one time courtesy. They think the main controller is fried/shorted out. I don't know how i didnt even touch it, the manager said it might have been a bad part they sent me. So it's 3 weeks now waiting on the part to get my scooter repaired. I've been missing the good weather, fathers day now 4th of July. It really sucks i paid $2300 for this. Customer service email replies, but you can never get a manager or someone with some actual authority to help you out or get answers. Btw after 15 days they accept no returns unfortunately my faults happened after 30 days. Maybe i should have rode it more, right away and get a return.

Very satisfied with the scooter. Used for daily commute- 10 miles. Scooter arrived in good condition. There was one screw which was almost out (holds the cable to the motor away from the disc brake) so it's important to check. Have put 200 miles in 2 weeks. One flat tire, but otherwise, no issues.
