MANTIS 2025 - fluid Edition Legacy Trigger Throttle Display 18.2Ah - 33 miles range Reviews

4.5 Rating 470 Reviews
My daughter had a decent scooter & I wanted to ride w her. Did a lot of research & landed on the Mantis V2. Its amazing. Very powerful 1000W motors in both wheels. You better hold on! Love the dual suspension, super smooth. Trigger throttle is nice. Ergonomics of the handlebars, brakes, throttle, etc is very nice & adjustable. The hydraulic disc brakes are very responsive. It folds & can be lifted fairly easily into vehicle. The back fender prevents water slinging on the back. Long range. When riding w kids I keep in eco mode which limits the speed to 15 mph...& saves the battery. I weigh almost 250 & can cruise @ 35 mph. I dont need the top speed so much, but the power is excellent for going up grades or taking off, it never struggles. The lighting system is amazing. Bright LED headlights & taillights. LEDs run down the side of platform you stand on. The blinkers work great on front & back. When you hit the brakes, the brake lights blink. I mounted a cell phone holder, a radio, & a cup holder. I love this scooter so much, Im about to buy my wife one as well. You will not be disappointed.

I'm giving 4 stars because the front brake didn't have any hydraulic pressure straight out of the box. They did send me a free kit to fix it though, no questions asked. I've had my V2 for about a month now and have put on 100+ miles so far. It's a great ride for sure! I've ridden it to/from work multiple times (12 miles both ways) and not had a single problem. I really enjoy riding this thing at night too, you get all sorts of looks because of the LED glow that literally covers the entire road under you. I've let some of my co-workers take it for a spin and they can't believe how fast it can accelerate to top speed. Some of them were too scared to give it a go after seeing how fast it could go. haha All in all, loving the purchase. Having the time of my life riding it!

I bought Pete Mitchell in September or October of last year, after coming to rely on electric scooters for my transportation and losing my Emove Cruiser (RIP Eva...) Admittedly, my first week or so was a little bit frightening, as Pete has quite a bit more power than Eva did, and 40mph while standing and exposed to the world is... a little terrifying. But, once I got used to it, I would have it no other way! I get all over town with this scooter and have a great time doing it (unless someone doesn't see me and pulls right in front of me- Careful! Folks in cars will NOT see you!) The battery range is about what they say it is; I've been pushing him on some longer rides to see just what I can get out of him, and I think... 40 miles is almost exactly what I've gotten! (I am small and terrain is mostly flat, fyi.) Meanwhile, the only maintenance he's needed so far is some air in the tires (a welcome change, as poor Eva always seemed on the verge of nearly falling apart with all her loose and missing screws). All in all, VERY happy with the Kaabo Mantis!

Love the ride so far. The scooter gets to about 35mph at full speed. It also has about 10 miles of range when operating in dual motor. When the scooter arrived, the headlight wouldn't turn off with the button. When I asked Fluid freeride, they said that was a known issue and they are working on it. I still have yet to hear back on a fix. Also the controller does not shutoff at the voltage shutoff setting. This can potentially lead to battery damage. I was also told this is a known issue and they are working on it. Finally, the screen is extremely difficult to see during the daytime unless in shade. I've tried adjusting the angle of the display every way, but the brightness of the screen(even when on the high setting) is not enough for day riding conditions. The ride is fun, but it seems like this scooter should have been kept in Beta development until more of this issues were taken care of.

I recently purchased the Mantis V2 scooter and I'm very happy with my purchase. I will definitely purchase from fluidfreeride.com again.

I went with the Kaabo Mantis for my first scooter and all I can say is WOW!!! It's sooooo much fun to ride at normal and fast speeds. Going back and forth to work in the city from Queens is so much fun that I sometimes don't even go straight home after work, I joy ride for a bit first.

I had questions on my scooter and left a message, which was not returned. I had concerns about the range and considered exchanging it for the longer range version. The only reason I haven't so far is because nobody could answer my simple technical question. This has also prevented me from buying a second one. The customer service sucks and when I do finally get a hold of someone, I am wishing that it was someone with knowledge and authority. Torrey Ward 805 261-9700
