“I was recommended GMB Fitness by my Physio, and for 3 weeks I am following the Elements programme. At the moment I am only spending 15 minutes a day and I feel much stronger already. For many years I have been doing yoga and pilates, although those are good forms of exercise, I feel GMB Fitness adds playfulness, fun and mobility. It surely gets my heart rate up at the same time. The programme is easy to follow; all moves are well explained, and the programme slowly builds up to more complex moves and playfulness. The personal backup from the GMB Fitness team is great and I feel supported. It's almost like having a personal fitness trainer ;-)”
“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that I’m less concerned with the “numbers” (like reps completed, or weight moved), and more concerned with being able to stay fit and active. I want to be able to practice my martial arts for as long as I can. Elements has helped me make a stronger connection with my body and helped me move better. I’m more resilient. And the scaling of exercises means that I can practice the sessions over and over, and they are still challenging. It has definitely changed my approach to fitness for the better.”
“My daughter had been recommending GMB Elements training to me for years. I had serious doubts. I my late 70's, and doing little in the way of workouts but yoga and daily walks, I was worried about hurting myself and simply not being able to do the work. Also I didn't think I would like using a phone app to learn a new form of exercise. But I hoped to recapture some of the strength I had lost over the years. I am really surprised by how well it is going. Once I figured out how to get to the app on my phone, I found it very easy to use. The exercises are strange, but not at all boring. I am learning that the more carefully I follow the instructions, the easier and more fruitful the exercises. Even paying attention to the instruction to go at my own pace. Fortunately, the app makes it easier to do that. If I am tired, there is a way to choose a less arduous series. Or a shorter or longer one. It.is a very well thought out system and ... I am getting stronger.”
“I purchased Elements to head off the joint pain and lack of flexibility that I'd seen in my relatives. It is working. While I'm still working my way through the program, I now can crouch and bend my knees in ways I did not think I ever could. They will take you slowly through the exercises and let you go at your pace. Each time you try it, you'll find it gets just a little bit easier. Recommended.”
“i fell in love with the philosophy of gmb. over the course of time, during which i have gone through elements several times, i have developed an attitude in which i place more and more value on the process instead of thinking about the goal. so i try to arrive more in the moment than to train for a certain result. then it is fun for me and i develop more or less automatically without constantly wanting to get somewhere. thx (Sebastian Spieker, Germany)”
“Elements are the first "fitness" program I have ever paid for. I have a relatively long history (40+ years) of participating in endurance sports (XC mountain biking, road cycling, cross-country skiing, running, hiking, and backcountry skiing). I am self-coached in these activities. I also regularly use traditional strength training to support (maintain strength and reduce injuries) in my sports. I am always looking for other/better ways to "train" and when the GMB videos started popping up on my YouTube page, I was intrigued because I have been trying to incorporate more mobility training and stretching into my day.
The Elements program is well set up and easy to follow. I have completed 31 sessions so far. At first, I found some of the workouts a bit boring (10 minutes of doing the basic Bear was hard....), but there is always something to work on (being smoother, the combination moves and stalling some of the movements is challenging). I can see so much room for improvement compared to some of the people you have in the videos (Ryan, Chris and Rose). Is this going to make me a faster XC skier? The jury is out but I am enjoying Elements so far and I think mobility is very important for overall fitness/health.”
“As an active individual with extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, I wondered what Elements had to offer me. I wanted to learn advanced calisthenics and tricking skills - could going back to the basics really develop my coordination and autonomy beyond what I'd learned on my own? The short answer is an emphatic yes. There is immense value in starting off "easy" and rewiring our movement patterns. After working through the program (which is a lot of fun), I found myself achieving great success with skills I'd struggled with in the past (including handstand holds, tuck handstand, tuck planche). But along the way, I found myself looking forward to the lessons not just as a means to an end - Elements is inherently playful and the process has been deeply engaging and enjoyable. After two months, I find myself coming back to Elements again, eager to continue improving. In the meantime, I've begun another GMB program and look forward to more.”
