Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Incredibly disappointed!!! NOT recommended. Wish I’d read the trustpilot reviews before purchasing. I’ve used boots for dog walking, and gardening for years. The Le Chameau Vierzon boots were a treat to myself as £150 is a ridiculous amount for wellingtons. Very comfy and perfect for what I wanted. After 7 months use, the heel has split (green boot upper) on one. The other has the main boot pulling away from the moulded sole at the heel. No problem I thought, one side must be a material defect, and the other a manufacturing defect. Long story short, the warranty is not worth anything. My use of 2 dog walks a day, and pottering round the garden was classified as excessive use. Also, only every use a boot jack for removal, hands are deemed damaging to the boot!!! Unbelievable!!! This company has really annoyed me, I hope this review saves some others from throwing their money away. This company is trading on its past good quality product! The current product is not fit for purpose!!!”
