“The only difficulty I had with this docking station was that the HDMI adaptor needed to be active not passive as I had originally bought. When I contacted customer service they gave me a good steer to the right cable.
I have also seen the connection to my work Dell computer to be a little fragile but I do not believe it is the cable but the computers thunderbolt port itself.”

“Out of the box one of the usb ports wasn't working as expected. A firmware update fixed the proble. Whilst the CalDigit TS3 Plus performs as advertised - I've only scored it 3/5 as users shouldn't have to do firmware updates for equipment straight out of the box”

“Really well built. Does everything it promises. Plenty of I/O for most uses. It was litterlly a plug and play no fuss set up. A great piece of kit!
If I had to pick on anything it would be that the power box was much larger than I was expecting. I'm sure in the case where all the I/O was powering many devices it would be necessary but for people thinking this they might use this for travelling I would probably say look at one of the smaller options.
I also wish the thunderbolt cable was slightly longer so I had more options for arrangement and cable management.”

“The Caldigit TS3 is a fantastic Thunderbolt 3 Dock. Great array of ports, solidly built, a good mix of USB-A and USB-C ports, which means it has a more "modern outlook" than some of the other docks. And works - as it should - with the Apple Silicon M1 Macs as well. All in all a fabulous unit, and in my opinion pretty portable - except I guess when you consider it's power supply has a footprint almost twice the size of the dock itself! But given it charges the laptop, it's a small price to pay! Great unit.”

“Its and ideal dock for my M1 Mini, which I have swapped in to be my desktop workhorse. I run two 4K monitors at 60Hz, one from the Mini HDMI and the other from the TS3 DP and also stick a couple of TB drives in it.”

“I would definitely recommend this dock. No software required to be installed. Just plug and play. One important note though, is that there is no HDMI port on this dock which is not a big deal as most modern devices are equipped with USB C.
So, in the light of the above, I have to say that this must be the best dock that I have ever come across.”
