“This dock has supplemented my 2018 Mac Mini plus allowed me to offload devices from the Mini.
Additionally has prevented the USB3 interference that causes the mouse to "stutter".

“After extensive research I settled on the Caldigit TS3. Initially I was concerned about the price, but it is a high quality unit, aluminium case, lots of power and bandwidth, and lots of ports.
I connected the TS3 to my New HP touch screen with Lightning connectivity, and the TS3 just worked first time. All devices were recognised and worked first time.
I didn’t realise that Lightning could charge my Laptop, connect all my peripheral devices and connect to my LAN as well through 1 port. Awesome.
The only thing to watch out for is if you connect a monitor via DisplayPort port on TS3, you’ll need an ACTIVE DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor. A passive adaptor will not work (which is written in the TS3 documentation). If the adaptor doesn’t have “active” written on the package, then it’s likely passive only.
Awesome product and worth the investment.”

“A promising dock let down by the lack of the inclusion of display adapter cables such as an active display port to hdmi and thunderbolt 3 to hdmi. At this price point these adapters should be included out of the box. Understandably there are several ways in which the disport port and thunderbolt 3 can be adapted, however suppliers often don’t range the caldigit adapters. This leaves customers having to frustratingly search for the appropriate adapter. Adaption from the two ports to hdmi should at least be standard.”
“Works very well for my needs. With one cable connecting the MacBook Pro to the TS3 Plus and everything else attached to the dock, it's neat and tidy. Couldn't ask for anything more.”

“Happy with the connectivity of the TS3, also happy with the stand upright or lay down options for the TS3, it also has numerous USB ports to offer the accessory king like me, but what it didn’t have was an easy way to connect two monitors to it. Mine as many other monitors have HDMI connections. The TS3 has USB-C and DisplayPort options requiring convertors for both. To add insult to injury the DisplayPort connector needs to be “active” to be able to handle converted signal which rules out ones from Officeworks. So i still only have one screen working a week and a half later. :-(”
