Bought this Jet back in late summer 2016, on arrival after opening the box, it had these terrible air bubbles all over the hatch and the paint job wasn't done all that great on it over all. Moving to present day, May 27 2018. I finally maiden it, she was just a little tail heavy with the 1800 3S in there but just four clicks of down trim leveled her out. The first flight went great! She flew quite nicely for her size and fought her way through the 10 mph winds. After putting her down and getting her ready for the second flight, I pushed the throttle up to 100% for my hand launch and gave her a toss into the wind. Right away after leaving my hands the motor cuts out to a very weak sound and she fell down and belly landed herself onto the soft 3 inch grass with no damage. I looked through the air intake and saw that my fan was now sitting loose inside, completely detached from the motor shaft. After taking the Panther back home to inspect the problem, I found out that the screw that is suppose to tighten up the end piece of the fan to clamp down on the motor shaft was unable to screw all the way down. Whats worst is, if I try any harder to screw it on, the whole fan rotates, preventing me from tightening up any further. I believe that with the clamps not being able to tighten up all the way, it lead to my fan being spun out of control and around the inside of the Panther. So, I decided to put the fan back on again and reached for the EDF unit but to my shock the whole EDF unit just pops out. Now this is my first Freewing 64mm Jet so I don't know if they decided not to put glue on it to hold it down or are just relaying only on the screws of the motor hatch to keep it in place but so far, I'm not impress with the build quality of this Jet. I will keep flying her but if the problem occurs again she will just have to hang from the ceiling for the rest of her days. For anyone buying the Panther, I suggest you look at your EDF unit first and make sure the fan is locked in place. I got away with a soft belly landing after hand launching but some one out there might not. Happy flying folks!

This small jet is a waste of money. I ended up adding the landing gear which probably added more weight than the motor could handle. The design is horrible from a balancing stand point. Set-up was simple but I had issues keeping this guy in the air compared to all of my other ducted fan jets. The paint that they used on these jets doesn't bond to the foam well, you'll understand if you purchase one. I recommend choosing a different plane. Theres nothing "free" about freewing!

It's kinda slow and I also had one of my wings come off on landing but the plane is fine. Overall it's flyable and fun you just need to be careful with her.

First flight required zero trim on any surface! It flies beautifully, easy to launch, very groovy, lands like a trainer. Using a 1600 mah pack, I get 3.5 minutes before the fan stops...time to land. Get one, you will love this little guy!
