Freewing F9F Panther 64mm EDF Jet - PNP Reviews

4.6 Rating 407 Reviews
This is the second one of these that I have gotten. The first one my wing fell off and crashed due to the fact I had crashed (flew on a very windy day and the plane got to bouncing and I lost orientation) and did not check the wing for damage totally my fault. I had to have another one because this plane is so much fun. I will always have one in my hangar!!! If you like having fun then this plane is for you...don't take my word for it try it for yourself!

I first had a problem with the plane flipping over tail heavy I adjusted the battery all the way forward and it flew like a dream. But not before i crashed it 2 times. I crashed it like 4 times after that. 3 of the times was a nose dive and i was so surprised that it was still together.

This EDF is easy to launch and solid in turns and loops. Make sure you push your battery all the way forward! Don't go by their CG! I am even using 2200 mah 3s on this for about four minutes and it flies very well. Easily worth the minimum investment.

This jet is very durable an fun! If you use the landing gear she will be tail heavy as there is no way to get the batt all the way forward. I use an 1800 mah pushed all the way forward and she flies like a dream. I also use a 2200 mah pro, tight fit but with a very slight down on the elevator and she flies nice and straight. I put a coat of acrylic paint on the bottom for durability and all is well.

Everything about this plane is great, except the recommended or even guessed at center of gravity.I have tried a 1600 and 1800mh battery and all it does is want to fly straight up in the air and flip over. After seeing a video on YouTube of someone else having the exact same problem I switch to a 2200mh I've even glued a washer some carbon fiber rods in the nose section and mid body. And a strip of plastic over some of the carbon rods. On full throttle it still seems to want to climb. Compared to the original which I destroyed it feels almost twice as heavy and flies like a dream. Overall having a shit load of fun with it. By using my usual balancing techniques it feels very heavy on the nose, wrong. I know it doesn't feel right but it flies.

Great little flyer. Easy to see and easy to fly. Goes fast or slow, depends upon your (left gimble) I used the required battery as a large 2200 would not fit with the additional nose servo and landing gear. But no need of a larger battery. Everyone at the field was impressed with its performance.
