“building was easy, the quality is overall good. But i had 2 problems. - for the flap servo's there are left and right turning servo's and unfortunately these servo's have a different travel, so when hooking up the flaps at the right side traveled 30mm and at the left only 21, so a changed the servo cables and soldered new connectors on it to make a left and a right pair. The I changed the receiver from a 6 channel to an 8 channel receiver and created separate flap channels, so I could adjust the flap travel to end up with left and right equal travel. I wonder how other people solved this. - I also changed the gear for the upgrade, but this upgraded is not straight, I used a separate channel for the nose gear, so a have different trim to adjust for the misalignment. So all in all a few hours extra work and the need of a bigger receiver. But still happy with the result.”

“Qualifier... I'm new to RC planes. I just got into the hobby back in April...When it comes to RC planes, I'm a fan of WWII planes. I like the style, the history and, of course, the retracts. I purchased this P38 to add another iconic warbird to my collection. I am very happy with this purchase. Assembly was a bit more involved than some of my other planes, but not difficult. The plane looks very good and flies real nice. Flight time is good. Currently running five minutes, but it looks like I'll be able to add another minute or two. While in the air, she sure is pretty. Raise the landing gear and this girl is streamlined, with it's gear hidden under cargo doors. Just looks sharp. Stock motors have plenty of power, but, if you want, they offer an optional upgrade with motors and props to give you even more speed and power. Haven't decided on this upgrade yet, as I like the three blade prop look. Maybe in the future when I'm a better pilot and can handle more speed, I'll think more on it. As I said, I'm very happy with this plane. It has exceeded my expectations and that makes it all the better for me.”
