I was initially very excited to see this product at Motion and waited patiently for its arrival. Quality is not as good as other Motion products and I spent a little time, as others have, changing or fixing certain aspects. Flights have been good so far and I hope that with time I will like it as much as I had hoped.

Nice plane, documentation was terrible. Build not too bad, but you had to figure some stuff out like wiring for lights, still not sure I have it correct. Power for the light controller should be from the Ubec 6v not the flight battery voltage. Tiers were a pain th get on without a leak. Left my slates fixed as a lot of others did, at least for now. After getting the build finished the maiden was very nice. Plane flew very well, no trimming needed. Only two flights so far. No issues. Maybe a little over priced, $50 or so.

I think overall its a well designed model and it flys great too.Pros-great overall design-outstanding landing gearCons-birds nest wiring-weak tailwheel steering-position lights and light controller can become hot-esc has no easy location to mount without wire extrensions....same for any receiver you install.- slat servos felt weak at times and wouldn't fully deploy sometimes.-slats are not true functioning slats and act more like a brake. Still a fun build and plan to customize to my liking. I just expected a little better setup coming from something that's been engineered for the last 3 years or so.

Arrived with a broken part that moves the leading edge slats. Hopefully motion rc sells the part

Nice plane but I found 2 flaws. One is the inflatable rubber wheel. It is very tricky to glue even if you are using the tire glue. Require lots and lots of patience. I got mine with factory defect on both wheels. It’s got a leak no matter how I fixed it. The second issue is the way the servo is set up for the forward slats and flaps. For some reason, my right side flap won’t retract and align fully on the after deployment. Found out flap servo is defective!!! The LG strut is awesome, strong and robust and the plane and the finish is very nice! The cockpit cabin windows are tolerable but why didn’t they make it crystal clear like the Eflite Draco??? It can still achieve structural finish.

This plane goes together just fine until you get to the wheels. I tried three different glues (drying 24 hours) to get the tires on the rims. All failed, even the rubber glue. Just start with CA instead. Fill the gap with medium CA and then put the tire in it and kick it with accelerator. Also, I have flown for 50 years and know what I am doing so when I tried the slats and flaps I was surprised it did slow down that much and slapped to a landing from about a foot up. This resulted in it breaking the bracket on the bottom that anchors the landing gear. This is a very weak bracket made out of 1/32 cast aluminum. To replace it you have to buy $59 landing gear set. Instead I made my own out of 1/2 angle iron cut and soldered together and then filed to the same shape. I put it in a picture below. Have fun.

So far the only problem I have is the screws for mounting the struts to the side of the fuselage seem to be a little to large for the holes. I'll let you know more as I continue on the build.

I have never been first out of the gate to buy a new model, preferring in the past to wait for reviews of early purchasers before making up my mind. However, seeing that this was a Motion RC product, I decided to pull the trigger. I must say I am disappointed. The plane is big and shows up well in the air. It also has plenty of power. Nonetheless I did find a number of quality issues right out of the box. The control rods for the flaps were too long and had to be cut. The flaps hinges were extremely tight and I had to take them apart and do some reaming so they would move freely. The nozzle on one of my tire hubs leaks air slowly. The wing control surface push rods latch into the servos with small plastic E/Z links, and I question their long term security. Probably the biggest disappointment is the wheel axles. On my second flight, I landed without too much fanfare and despite the inflatable tires and much touted suspension strut system, one of the wheel axles snapped off. I should also mention that the CG in the manual appears to be way off. I flew with a 6S 5000 and had to move it back so that the front strap was at the front edge of the battery. I may need to move it back even more based on the amount of up elevator it seems to require. While I had high hopes for this one, I am not as happy as I thought I would be.
