“I am very happy with the camera. So far I have only tested it for video, as the quality is so good that any snapshot will do. The camera has delivered very good results both during the day and at night. It has filmed foxes at night, which my old camera of a simpler model would never have detected at all. Attached is a snapshot of a flying buzzard. The male remains on the ground, where they actually mated in the video sequence before. But since they were sitting in the shade at the time, I did not think that sequence was representative of the quality of the camera. It was indeed very easy to brighten it up in the computer, but the attached image is completely unedited.”

After consulting with customer support I chose the Helarctos because of its solar power & app. I’m still trying to find the optimal settings to get the best images, a bit of trial & error. Being able to see the field of view via the app is a great help, likewise downloading images from a distance. I’m thinking of buying another for a different part of the garden.”
