“Ororo batteries are far superior to many discounted brands found on Amazon. Ororo will power up your garments many more times on a single charge and heat you up faster and with a smaller profile and lighter weight. The downside is that they are expensive.”
“I have the mini 5K, 7K and the 9K. I used the mini 5K the other day and was surprised after 2.5 to 3 hours on medium the vest turned off and the battery was out of juice. The 7K I am getting closer to 5 hours, still requires a swap out for my 12 hour shifts. Ive reviewed the 9K already.”
Hi there, thank you for sharing this feedback. We understand how that could be disappointing, especially when expecting something ready to use right away. Batteries are shipped partially charged for safety reasons, but we appreciate you sharing your clients’ experience. Your feedback has been noted and shared with our team as we continue working to improve the overall experience. Thanks for your understanding and for choosing ororo.
“PD 7k battery. Yes, it has a great capacity for heating just about anything. The integrated USB-C is a nice add-on. For me, I have been using it for just a week or so. I power my vest for maybe 2 hours over the course of 5C6 hours. I find it is at or above 75%, I charge it using 24W or better charger, and it still takes about 2 hours to get back to full charge. When the pack arrived it was at 50%, I recall it was 4 hours to 100%. I find that odd, I can charge a Samsung 25+ in less time. My anker powerpack at 165W doesn't take that long. Thus, I am mixed, plenty of capacity but a tradeoff for hours to recharge. Hopefully the next version will have fast(er) recharging.”
“The “PD 7K” Battery is the best made for Ororo vests and jackets. It’s the same physical size as the original Ororo battery, yet heats for 50% more hours. Best of all, it has an integrated USB-C charging cable, which facilitates emergency charging of phones or tablets. Overall rating is outstanding and 5 Stars.”
