I bought my 10 X 20 auto shelter for my boat. I had to put extra support in between the ribs this I did when the first one collapse with the snow. The second one has all the extra support from the first one. It has been up for five years and was wore out .I bought a new one last year, this winter with the wind the zipper on the right side ripped up past the stops. I have sent in a warranty clam will see what happens.

I've purchased two 10/20 shelters. They both are still standing. One of them is over five years. Showing signs of wear but still useable. The second is on its third year and is perfect. The secret to the long-lasting life is all in the prep work. Installing with direct ground contact is going to lead to problems. Lay out the frame. Level the ground. Stake pressure treated 2/6 planks in place. Secure the frame with lag bolts to the frame. On the inside use ratchet straps on each leg to the 2/6. If the forecast is calling for wind, cross brace the interior with ratchet straps. I live in Massachusetts. We have all kinds of weather. The last snowstorm gave us two feet of snow. I had to remove the snow a few times. Still standing. My opinion is if your shelter didn't fail you did!

If you buy the lower cost version it will last a year if you are lucky. So go for quality and buy the 10 year covering which gives you quality.

I purchased this as a way to get storage quickly. I followed all the directions and secured every pole leg of the tent to the ground--I thought. Then the wind started and I discovered that there is no support for the tent above the first 6 inches. The bottom flap of the tent is not air tight therefore the wind will creep under the flap and wreck havoc. The flap is not long enough to put block on top to stop the wind. The back does not pull taunt so the wind pushes the back in and out with no grommets to tie it to. The tent rocks and sways constantly. I have not been able to figure out a way to stop the sway and cannot put anything in it because it sways so much it knocks over the shelves that I put in there. The ratchet tight system doesn't tighten securely and slips up when the wind pushes the tent. I even bought lock washers and they don't work. Also after being up for about 4 months I noticed light spots in several places not where the materials rubs on the frames. They are just there. This is NOT UV protected. I purchased this to get my stuff out of a 10X20 storage shed that costs me $140 a month. Between what I've spent on the storage shed and trying to tighten and wind proof it, and the cost of this tent I could have built a shed myself. Very disappointed and not sure what I'm going to do next.
