TRAKK Heating Pad for Neck & Shoulder Reviews

3.5 Rating 113 Reviews
I just received the heating pad and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a fan of Sunbeam products after a different purchase, but that's a different story. The shoulder pad fits well, and feel very comfy. The heat output is very good, but I would have have liked it just a tad hotter. The pain relief evaluation is relative, so I am not commenting on that feature. The temperature control is made of very, lightweight cheap plastic (typical of other Sunbeam products). There's one button used for turning it ON, adjusting temperature levels 1-4, and, of course, OFF. It's simple, basic, and it works well...at least so far; on Day One.

Long Story:I'm a full time office worker and freelance artist with bad TMJ. I've experienced (sometimes debilitating) neck, shoulder and jaw pain. In addition to seeing a chiropractor monthly and doing daily stretches, I've been using a cold compress and heating pad, but both are small and hard to use. I bought this on a gamble and I don't regret it. I'm 5'7", 125lbs and this pad engulfs me - but it's so soft and hits all the areas that hurt, so I'm not complaining. The magnetic closure works but since it's so big on me I just press the full ends together and it stays pretty well. You can definitely find a cheaper alternative to this pad. I feel that even a large, cheap heating pad would work just as well, but this one is so convenient and allows me to draw and not struggle keeping it up on my neck and shoulders. I also trust Sunbeam's products and like the auto off features their products have. Please go see a chiropractor or doctor if you're having bad shoulder and neck pain. Don't use this product as a substitution for medical care and please take care of yourself! :)Short Story:It fits rather large on me (5'7", 125lbs) but does it's job. Allows for me to work without having to struggle to keep it up on my shoulders and neck. You can definitely find a cheaper alternative to this pad.

After reading several negative reviews I decided to order based on the higher rated reviews. Unlike most orders, when I received the packaging I kept them aside in case the poor-rated reviews were correct and I need to send the product back for a refund. After a few hours, the packaging was in the recycling and the neck pain I had been experiencing for three weeks was astoundingly better. The heat is powerful, penetrating, and effective across all four (4) level settings. The pad is well covered in fleece, with sand-filed ribbing around the perimeter to keep it in place when sitting, standing, or laying prone. The fit is perfect and comfortable.All-in-all, the best heating pad I have ever owned. Not sure what happened to the reviewers who had less than ideal experiences, but I can heartily recommend this heating pad.

Like other reviewers, I saw mixed reviews on this product but decided to take a chance because I've always had a positive association with the Sunbeam brand. That said...what a huge disappointment this product is! I purchased it on September 6, 2019 and have only "used" it (read: "tried to use it") twice in the 6 weeks I've had it.The first time it worked as expected. It helped with my muscle tightness and I didn't need to keep using it, so I put it away. The second time (yesterday) I turned it on and it heated quickly. I put it on my shoulders and within 5 minutes noticed that I wasn't feeling any heat. The unit had turned off. I turned it back on, but it barely got warm and then turned off again within 10 minutes. I unplugged it from the outlet and unplugged and replugged the power cord from the unit itself. Plugged it back into the outlet and turned it back on with the same result. The unit barely warmed at all.My "window of return" for TRAKK expired on October 6, so I guess I'm stuck with this useless item. And I still don't have a heating pad.Sunbeam, if you read your product reviews, please remove this dud product from the market and try again.

It heats slowly, the heat is spread over a large area, it's not that hot, and it doesn't adjust very well without getting scrunched up. As a result, if you're getting this to ease your back, neck, and shoulder pain, it's doesn't really work that well.

I work from home full time since the pandemic and even though I have an office chair, I was finding my neck and shoulders get very tight as I'm not good about getting up and stretching the way I should. If I've had a particularly long day, this heat pad is AMAZING. I can use it while I'm watching TV and relaxing or even while I'm working. There is a magnetic closure in the front and it doesn't slip off or move around. It would be nice if the chord was a little longer, but I live in an older home with fewer outlets. Personal problem that in no way impacts the heating pad. My husband has a shoulder massager that should be sold with this heating pad as they're a great back-to-back combo.

I thought this would be a great alternative to a heat blanket. I do have a ton of neck and shoulder pain so was hoping for some relief from this.I can say it is comfortable for the most part but kind of weird because you cant lay any way with it. Also when it's covering my neck, it doesn't necessarily stay put. Kind of need to guide it with pillows or something to stay on my neck. It's great quality and good price. I also put it down for my dog and helps him relax 🥰Hope that helps.

So disappointed. I have severe neck and shoulder pain and was excited to find this to cover all those areas. The heat element does not extend to all the fabric areas. It only heats the back of the neck, the tops of the shoulders, and the upper back- the heat doesnt extend down the flaps. It also does not get HOT on the highest setting. The shape itself is amazing, the magnetic clasp on the front is super handy. If the item heated all areas it would be perfect.
