My wife and I had the most amazing anniversary weekend at Whippoorwill Woods. The camp stove inside the tent made it feel extra cozy, and we loved that we could hike directly from the site. George and Sue were the kindest hosts. Our dog, Ghost, got to play with their two pups. We recommended this site to all of our friends, and we hope to return ourselves one day.

My boyfriend and I had the best weekend at Whippoorwill Woods! George and Sue were so wonderful, and we had many great conversations with them. They were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. They were excellent with communicating and sharing information with us before and during our stay. They also had great recommendations for things to do and see in the area, and they were even willing to look up some things online for us! The campsite was beautiful and stocked with everything we could possibly need. We really enjoyed sitting by the campfire in the evenings. This was our first Tentrr experience, and we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you again, George and Sue. We hope to return again in the the future!

We can’t say enough good things about our stay at Whiperpool Woods! The property was amazing and included trails that you could hike all the way up to the water tour. Our hosts were a pleasure and so welcoming to their property. We would gladly go back any day!

My family and I stayed at Whip-poor-will Woods this past weekend and had one of the most enjoyable family trips we’ve taken in a while. George and Sue are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything. Their attention not only to detail but to the experience of their guests is fantastic. They were attentive, proactive in anticipating our needs, and accessible. The location is perfect. We live in Brooklyn, and it took us just a little over 2 hours to reach Whip-poor-will. We traveled on a Friday around mid-afternoon and were nicely settled with plenty of time to build a fire, cook dinner, and enjoy a quiet dusk at our campsite. Tucked back into the 100+ acre property, we felt like we were far enough away from the city (the primary purpose of our trip) and that we could also hop in the car to explore the surrounding area if we wanted to. George and Sue took great care in making sure we had everything we needed. They gave us maps of the hiking trails on their property, took great care of our dog Millie when we went into town and had lots of suggestions for attractions in the surrounding area. The dog trolly on the campsite was also a huge hit. Our dog, being a city dog, got a lot more freedom on our site because of the trolly. We added on a meet-and-greet with their horse, and also spent a morning picking organic blueberries which we used for breakfast back in Brooklyn! The experiences made for great photo ops! Our son William loved brushing the horse and eating all the blueberries as we picked them. Sue and George are truly wonderful hosts. We were sad to leave. We will definitely be back!

We had great time in Whippoorwill Woods, The site is completely surrounded forest, very quiet and has privacy. George and Sue are great host and SUPER helpful. They gave us 2 - 7 gallons water tank and I was so happy because it is enough water supply to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 nights stay and wash all dishes from each meal of 5 people. We hiked 1 hour from the site to the top of the mountain and view was great. Kids enjoyed to do blueberry picking Sue's chemical free blueberry and they are delirious !! Hope we will be back !! note : you need AWD to get to the site. George and Sue said this summer that area has tons of rain than usual and it made a ground very wet and muddy.

George and Sue were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to help us out. I brought a small boat on a trailer and I left it below the camping site in a pasture that they own. When I went to reattach the boat George made reference that my ball was loose. Looking a little closer at it I noticed that the nut had come off and the ball was just sitting in place. He swapped mine out with one of his. All the while dealing with this Sue was gracious enough to take my twin twelve year olds off my hands for 20 minutes. The site itself is super private and it is so beautiful. It rained the last night we were there so the 4 adults jumped in the tent with the kids and used 4 folding chairs that we brought and had plenty of room to sit at the end of the bed and chat while the kids played cards and told stories. Also, it is 15 minutes or so from the wonderful town of Jim Thorpe with tons of great restaurants and attractions. It is 7 minutes from Beltzville State Park which has a wonderful lake that has fantastic views, allows motorboating and has an incredible beach. The site is 10-15 minutes from Glen Onoco Falls which has an incredible hiking trail. And finally, it is within 15 minutes from several whitewater rafting companies. It was a great weekend. I give Whippoorwill Woods my highest recommendations!
