“I love getting my Hatch green chile from here. Even though I live up in Minnesota It gets delivered quickly. Never had it spoil. As a Native New Mexican I have to have enough to last me the whole year. I will always order from you. Some years the Lumbre is xtreamly hot and others less hot. But I love it all.”

“Hate to leave a "bad" review, but this year's (2018) Lumbre is just not hot. Last year the Lumbre was literally the hottest chile I have ever eaten, and not to mention the most flavorful! I loved it! Just a little bit would give kick to everything. While this year's does have very good flavor, it is not worthy of the "X-hot" name. In fact, I also ordered some Sandias, and those are just as hot if not hotter than the Lumbres.”

Hi, Our X-Hot is a hair hotter than our regular hot. I'm sorry you thought it was mild. Please be sure to keep the veins in as that's where all the heat is. 99% of the time, people who say that our hot varieties don't have enough heat are de-veining the chile. Thanks, The Hatch Chile Store
