“I ordered mild and it was too mild for my taste. Also, it was early / first pick (I assume) so it did not have a lot of flavor. ( I should have asked for a shipment later in the season.)”

Hi Jim, Heat level is very subjective and varies greatly from person to person. There are instances where people feel like the Mild is far too hot or that the X-Hot has no heat. People's heat tolerance can also change over time as they eat more or less spicy foods. I spoke to the owner, and they are willing to offer you 50% off a box of chile of a higher heat level. “My only regret is I did not buy more! They arrived in perfect condition. Not one pepper was in any less than excellent shape. They were large and meaty. Easy to blister and freeze. Both the ones we cooked the evening we received and the ones we froze are FULL of flavor. 100% will buy again and have shared this companies information with friends lucky enough to have tried some of ours. They also do a good job of communicating when they will arrive so you can prepare. Great experience start to finish.”
