“Sadly my second order of chili did not arrive fresh. The stems were not fresh but rather dark and dried. About 1/3 off my medium chili had to be discarded because it had rotted. This broke my heart because green Chili is precious to me- where I live it is not available for purchase. :). While it was expensive to ship, I gladly paid it because I in my opinion, there is no chili greater than Hatch Chili. I am waiting on the company to reply to email but I’m confident the response will be satisfying as I have yet to have an issue with their customer service.”

“Although the chilies were delayed for reasons beyond your control this year, they arrived in (generally) good shape. There were only two peppers out of a 25# box that were unusable due to rot/damage. Did notice a good bit of short/crooked peppers this year. Spent the day roasting and canning. Many of the straighter chilies were larger and meatier than my last order - which I appreciate. Looking forward to many enjoyable meals - starting tonight with Chili Rellenos. Thank you!”

“A good looking batch of chile. Arrived in very fresh condition. We just roasted the last batch, cooling down to peel, vacuum & freeze.”

“Actually also ordered hot and mild, but combining my review together here. I was seriously anxious about the orders for all 3 after they shipped. I had selected Standard (Ground) shipping because the expedited shipping was way expensive. FedEx sent me an email saying it was arriving Friday, but it didn't get delivered until Monday (Labor Day). I thought for sure most of the pods would be molded and destined for the garbage... But I've been thanking the Lord that Hatch Chile Store and FedEx that somehow the shipping process preserved nearly all of the pods!! Had gotten in touch with customer support which reminded me of my choices in selecting the shipping method, so no refund would be available regardless of the product quality. Again, thankfully, that was not a concern since the chile was nearly all in great shape! We lost maybe 5-7 pods out of 60 lbs of chile. The smell was delightful as I roasted it all on the grill, and we roasted, peeled, and bagged it for the freezer in 4-5 hrs of effort. We did keep a bit back for breakfast and burgers, and it tasted marvelous! :-D Still working on bags of frozen from 2020, but expect to thoroughly enjoy the 2021 chile when we get to it. Next time, I think I'll likely pay for the expedited shipping. The cost seems worthwhile if I'll not have all that anxiety over the freshness of the chile when it arrives!”

“I really appreciate being able to order my favorite chiles, the Big Jims. Since it is not sold in Santa Fe anymore, I was devastated! Happy now!”
