“This review is NOT for publication. I have been ordering 25 lbs. of Med. Green chile for the past 4-5 years. In years past i have been very pleased with the overall quality. This year, however, the 2-day shipment arrived with about 15-20% damaged chiles. When i placed this order i specified that i didn't mind waiting until later in the season as i was told that the chiles would be larger and meatier vs. earlier in the season. In actuality, the chiles overall in this year's shipment were not nearly as large or meaty as the prior years. My inclination was to rate this shipment just 2 stars (poor), but given my positive experience with your product in the past and the overall pleasant customer service that you always provide, am rating this shipment as acceptable (though barely so). Just thought you would want to know of my disappointment as compared to prior years. Thanks for listening. -- Ira Friedman, New York”

“Best all around flavor, I use it in all my cooking, well almost all. It is the base for my enchilada sauce, green chili etc. I live in Northern Minnesota where black pepper is considered hot.”

“This "pre-order" is the second 25 lb. order of this season because the 1st 25 lbs was exceptional and has been disappearing rapidly in the form of Rellenos that have been delicious and hefty due to the size of the Pods. I have actually just finished making potato salad using the recipe from the Hatch Chile website. It uses roasted green chile and dried Red Chile Powder from Hatch Chile Store and has been awarded best potato salad ever by my family and guests.”
