“I looked forward to my first order from the Hatch Chile Store. A co-worker had ordered about 300 pounds over the past couple of years. However, on receiving the order I knew that things were not good as I could smell decay coming from the box. Although I payed for the express shipping to “Insure Freshness”. What I received was anything but fresh. Of 160 peppers in the box, 48 were completely rotten or in stages of decay. Please see the photos. The photos posted are just a few of the almost 25 photos sent to Hatch Chile store. I contacted the Hatch Chilie store and was offered 5 pounds of chilies to make up for the bad peppers (what happened to the Hatch Chile store’s guarantee)?. I was then offered a 25 percent refund. Whatever. I refused and decided to post for all to see. Do not rely on the additional postage to insure a fresh unspoiled product. Who ever packs your order may just decide to throw in a bunch that should not be shipped. To say the least, This was my first and last order from the Hatch Chile store.”

“Every year we normally make a trip to Hatch NM to pick up our chiles. This year with our workload and time constraints we couldn’t make it. I researched online where I could order my chiles and took a chance with the Hatch Chile Store. I opted to pay additional shipping and they arrived as the ad stated and were better quality than the burlap bags of Chile I would buy in Hatch. I guarantee these chiles if you go with the two day ship. You most def will not be disappointed. Plump, fragrant, subtle, and absolutely delicious!”

“Well… my husband and I ordered 25 lbs. thinking we would have to figure out how to freeze or can then to preserve. What ended up happening is we roasted them in small batches on our backyard campfire and have enjoyed them ALL fresh in various recipes!! Thank you!!”
