Nanbu Bijin “Tokubetsu Junmai” Reviews

Sweet, delicate medium body premium sake with a slightly dry aftertaste. Well balanced with a floral aroma and notes of pear. I enjoyed it either cold but also slightly hot at 100-110oF

Very smooth with a tasteful hint of sweetness. As someone else wrote, this drinks with the smoothness and complexity of a daiginjo. Very good cost-performance.

This is a very good tokubetsu Junmai for the money. Pairs well with seafood or even chicken.

Polished to 55% and drinks like a daiginjo! This is my go-to gateway sake to give to people who have only ever had "house hot sake" at run of the mill sushi joints. Serve it chilled in a thin-lipped wine glass and pair it with a steak - that is perfection. An absolute banger!

This one was a bit of a surprise with how complex the taste and aftertaste was. Definitely recommend it at room temp over cold or warmed.
