Definitely a wider sound stage and cleaner top end. Also evident was a firmer more concise upper to mid bass region. Quite an improvement to the original trio in my Ayon Orion II amplifier. Extremely satisfied with these Brimars!

Great tube. Installed on PL Evo 400 Intergrated in the 2 center tubes positions. They took about 3 1/2 weeks to settle-in. They were a bit flat and dry in the beginning. They are hard not to like after break-in.

Just installed 4 of these in my Rogue RP-5. Dead quiet at idle. Absolutely liquid midrange, nice extension on the top end and excellent bottom end. Very happy!

Added a second set of these to my PLEVO300i . The front 4 spots are filled and saving to replace the last 2 in the front row. To my ears in my system…

I’ll say first that the PrimaLuna EVO 400 Preamp is fantastic. It’s been fun rolling some tubes through it to see what sounds best. Which takes me to the tubes. These Brimars are fantastic. I put them in the front two positions and replaced a couple of GE military 12AU7’s (I was running four GE’s up front with a pair of Mullard 12AU7’s in the rear). I really liked the GE’s, but the Brimars are in a different league altogether. What I noticed first was that the soundstage opened up, the artists were right in front of me, and there was more air and separation without any harsh or bright sound. I also discovered that I didn’t need to turn up the volume as much to hear the great warmth and detail that I wanted. So now I have the Brimars in the front, a pair of GE’s next to them, and a pair of Mullard 12AU7’s in the rear. I am using Mullard 5AR4 rectifiers as well. It’s a great combination, and I think I’ve found my tubular happy place. Highly recommended! Get them while you can…
