“I’m not a customer of Upscale Audio I live in the UK but when I was looking to change my amps I watched Kevin’s comments about expensive Pre amp and Power Amps and decided to track down some Prima Luna Dialogue amps this was not easy in the UK because most dealer want to sell you some very expensive equipment and the Prima Luna's just did not fit with their business model i.e. not profitable enough. So, I popped over to Holland and listened to them there. Anyway, to cut a long storey short I ended up buying a Prima Luna Dialogue Premium Pre and two HP power amps. Anyway, I then decided to change the stock 12AU7’s for some Brimar CV4003s these have had good reviews in the UK and at Upscale so I bought six for the pre amp and these are just great smooth open bigger sound stage more air. I like them so much I have ordered a set for both power amps and a spare set for the Pre buy them while you can.”

“I'm very impressed by the Brimar CV4003 tubes and the subtle yet intriguing difference to music through my Primaluna Dialogue Premium HP. I'm hearing instruments not noticed previously. My hat is off to Upscale Audio for the fantastic job done on the packaging of the tubes. Our postal service can be a little rough on fragile packages, but the tubes arrived safely insulated inside a wonderful cushion of foam noodles.”

“Once again Uncle Kevvy comes through! Bought a used PrimaLuna Dialogue HP integrated amp. The amp sounded great, but I wondered if I could get more. Between watching the videos on YouTube and reading the reviews, I decided to upgrade the preamp tubes. Well things got more focused, with more weight to all the instruments. You could tell when a drummer was using brushes and how tight the heads on the drums were. The Brimars are good news bad news. The bad news is I can’t see myself doing anymore upgrades anytime soon, unless I get a pair of Kantas, then I will upgrade to some K120s!!!”

“I bought two of these for my Evo 400 preamp and they made a difference right out of the box despite (or because of) being the same age as me! Better imaging, more open sound stage and good bass impact. The whole presentation is more holographic. Very glad I made the purchase. It has improved what was already a great sounding amp. As usual, delivery from Upscale was prompt and the tubes arrived in perfect condition. Thanks Kevin.”
