I have used the sense S2 for one season and it worked great. Starting off the second season it would not run a sample. I contacted customer service and within a week they had sent me a new unit. The new unit is up and running great! Couldn’t ask for better customer service and it’s a great product!

Since installing my Sense S2 I have been able to stay on top of my pool’s chemistry with little to no actual effort. While the cassette refills are a bit pricier than I’d like, I feel that’s a worthwhile trade off.

My experience started off okay. Very easy to install and setup and packaging was very professional looking. The app has a good interface and is very user friendly. It initially was able to pick up my pool pump schedule and picked up all my water measurements with no issues. After a week I started to have problems with it. First issue - It all the sudden was unable to track water flow and stated that I had no pump flow for 65 hours, which is not true. I actually went and verified and the pump was on as scheduled and running properly. Second issue - My cholorine levels were high so I removed my puck floater a week ago when i first installed it. Over time it showed the levels reducing as one would expect. The problem is that it has now gone up twice in FC readings when there has been zero chlorine added. Makes no sense. Third Issue - I've only had this device for a week and the cartridge says it has 20 days left on the app. When I spoke with the helpdesk they said its actually only good for 28 or 29 days. I was floored because every where I looked and on the packaging that came with it, it said that the D5 cartridges were good for a month. I did trouble shoot to make sure the skimmer bin was clean (it was) and also made sure the sensor was facing towards the skimmer or the flow of the water (it was). After troubleshooting with the helpdesk, I also checked the battery compartment and it was dry and ended up pulling them out and replacing them. When I called to raise my issue, the only advice they gave me was to move the daily pump reading time 30 minutes to the right. They said that should fix the problem with the pump and the FC readings. That didn't really give me the warm and fuzzy or confidence in the equipment or the measurements the device is doing. Also not happy with the lack of transparency on the cartridge length. I'll keep an eye out on it over the weekend and share any good or bad news. Unfortunately for me, I'm not impressed with the amount of money spent and what we're getting in return for quality. I'll share some pics from the app so you can see what I'm talking about here.

We own two pools at a rental house and our own home, about 1 mile apart. Our pool service raised their rate 25% in April 2024 so I decided to manage both pools myself. I first installed the S2 in my primary pool to understand how it works before I moved that unit to the rental house. I love the technology of a digital measurement versus counting drops into the vial system. I could never decide which color matched my pool. Connecting the Waterguru app to my wifi was easy. I measured 1-2 times per day after adding chemicals per the app advice. The app has a couple shortcomings which I can deal with (and for which I have submitted tickets to Watergur). My only complaint so far is the app's "advice" to add chemicals has been way off. I am getting the desired range by adding no more than 50% of the recommended changes. If the recommendation is add "10 cups" of liquid chlorine, I only add 5 cups at most. Same for muriatic acid. After 10 or so days at our house, I moved the first unit to our rental house. I dialed in the chemicals on the first attempt. I can now monitor the rental pool remotely. My intended outcome! I am now waiting to receive my second purchased S2 for our primary home pool. It arrives tomorrow. I measured the pool yesterday without the S2 and I still cannot tell you which color matches my vials. How close was my pool service during their measurements? Who knows...

I bought this to keep tabs on my pool while out of town. Not only is it working but I feel like I have a more accurate idea of my pool waters health. So far I’m very happy.

I've had this for nearly a month now and it has worked really well. I measured with the Sense2 and with my pool supply store one time so far and measurements were really close. my pool store always had higher PH readings than what I would measure with a Taylor kit, and that still holds true here. Chlorine was almost identical. Alkalinity and CYA were really close as well. Water hardness measures way higher on the Sense2, but it doesn't bother me too much since you can't do much for that other than control PH and Alkalinity. Overall, it saves me a hour every week easily. The measurements recommended for correcting levels have been perfect so far as well.
