My wine opener was a gift and came from Frontgate. They will not supply replacement worms but will sell you the whole head...$$. The legacy unit is the same and its worm replacement fits perfectly. I recommend not taking the unit apart until the new worm arrives so the install is done precisely. Pete, Alva, Fl.

Wish I could say the same for the Legacy mechanism in which it is inserted. I have three Legacy openers now on display in the "no-work" pile with nice worms.

Was able to replace this part. Our opener works like new again. Glad I ordered 2.

This is a great opener for the home, but in a commercial setting it does not stand up to the abuse of many different employees. We have replaced it twice and it is unusable for a third time.

Hard to tell yet how it is since it came with NO instructions on how to replace it. Saw in FAQ someone asked and was told to call customer service. Wouldn't it be easier to provide written instructions? I haven't had the time to attempt it yet. Also, first shipment package was found empty by UPS and returned. Three weeks after I didn't receive it, I contacted customer service and provided them the UPS comments and another was shipped. I really enjoy Wine Enthusiast but they should have been proactive.

Iv'e had my legacy corkscrew mounted on my bar for 18 years or so. Always worked fine. A few weeks ago the guide and worm malfunctioned. Wine enthusiast staff helped me order the right parts. It took a couple tries reading the instructions correctly but all in all replacement was easy. Saved on the cost of purchasing a whole new corkscrew. It is a quality company these days that will sell parts and help you fix their product!

It's a shame such a nice piece of equipment like this corkscrew fails so easily. But the replacement corkscrew works well.
