I bought 2 racks and a 3rd shorter model. After assembling the short model, which came out fine I built the first 5 column one. It too came out great as far as fit and finished product. The next day I assembled the second 5 column. The parts just did fit as well as the first one. Using a power drill I had to modify the cross members in order for to go together. Even sitting on a smooth, level concrete floor I had to shim two corners of the base so it will stand properly. All in all though the 3 units look great now.

This absolutely cannot be assembled without a power drill. The wood is extremely hard, like walnut. Better if you have a smallish power drill that will slide in front to back or back to front to fit in between the vertical sections. Had to re-drill 15 holes where off-center, and 5 that were never drilled at all. Beautiful and sturdy when done.

Looks good - but doesn't match the height of others we've purchased so had to re-arrange so as we'd have no a visual issue. Pretty simple to put together just takes time and patience. Make sure you lay everything out in an open space

I bought three 5 column rack kits and one 3 column rack to install in a "wine closet" cooler in my home. The assembly instructions have illustrations, but I recommend you lay the parts out and make sure you know where things go. Be prepared to re-drill holes for the screws. When placing racks side-by-side, you will see they are not exactly the same, and you can make alignment adjustments with wood shims. I also recommend anchoring the racks to the wall and I screwed a small plate to attach adjacent racks. After some extra effort, I have a wine closet that looks great.

The wine storage units look great in my room. I ordered of the 5 column with display and the diamond storage unit as the middle unit...very happy with the product. My contractor assembled the kit..i do believe he said it took a few more tools and a few more steps than what the average homeowner would expect...but it did not take him very long. I would order again.
