“Isabel Allende is superb with her real life teachings. She makes writing fiction and non-fiction book length works seem acheivable, and gives us a look inside her own creative practice and imagination. She is human, just like us -- even though I've always though of her almost as a mystical creature. She is authentic and writes from a mortal, raw, emotional place that we alll share. During each module I needed to pause so I could go on a writing jag because I was so inspired. I love the way the course is organized, too. I will watch it again and know I will keep gleening more gems.”

I really loved every minute of the course and learned a lot - even as I'm working in the industry myself (10 years in a publishing house and now as a freelance translator and I have to say it's outstanding that Isabel Allende thinks about her translators all over the world while writing!). If only all GCSE Language students and teachers had the opportunity to take this course we would leave behind the 'tick box' exercise that creative writing has become.
