I realise that Isabel Allende wouldn't be able to do that, but perhaps an idea to expand BBC Maestro would be to complement the fantastic courses you offer with other, more hands-on courses to which people would register, receiving more tailored guidance.”

“I had thought this would be about writing fantasy fiction, which isn't really the case, but the content is useful for any sort of writing, I learned a lot about how to use everything you come across for inspiration, how to start a story, that it's okay to change pretty much anything if the plot evolves in a way you hadn't planned, how to build characters and that you need to trust editors.
Even if you have no intention of ever writing more than a post-it note, the course is interesting and entertaining. Isabel Allende is an engaging and amusing tutor, now I feel I have to try reading one of her books!”
