“It’s definitely spicy. The heat overpowers the Szechuan peppercorn tingle. It’s very oily. I like it best with Asian foods. Doesn’t seem to work so well with other cuisines.”

“This sauce is absolutely fantastic if you love sichuan (szechuan) style Chinese food. You get that tingly-zing type sensation from the sichuan peppercorns, and the heat is intense. This is the most authentic sichuan style hot sauce I've ever tasted. It took me right back to my first dinner in Chengdu, China. Highly recommend if you're looking to expand your palate, or if you need a fantastic Chinese-style hot sauce!”

“Lesson 1 - If you don't shake it well, you're going to get pure oil, and you're going to have a rough time. The oil is significantly hotter than the combined sauce, and without all of the rest of the flavors. Once it's well mixed, though, hell of a good sauce!”

“Dawson’s has a great selection of sauces that I thought I had tried each at least once. I somehow had missed this one so had to try it out. Nice blend of tastes with this one and pretty spicy as well-will keep this one around for sure!”
