Good stuff. Haven't played with it yet too see how it pairs best.

Ya, as the title says, It tastes more like a mustard than a traditional hot sauce. Tasty, but use with things that would be good with mustard.

This sauce is fantastic in a number of dishes. My favorites for this are breakfast sandwiches, pasta alfredo, and added to mushroom gravy.

Was super excited by the idea of this sauce but was severely let down. Has almost no flavor and what flavor it has is meh. Also 5/10 is generous for the heat level. Maybe a 3/10

Pleasantly different from my usual Serrano and jalapeƱo choices. The heat is perfect for my liking and the flavor of balsamic and mushrooms is unique. I'm always looking to mix up my spicy choices and this offering is now in my rotation. Enjoying it with Quiche Lorraine as I type this.

This is one of my favorite sauces for two reasons. It has a great fermented, umami flavor like Worcestershire, and the flavor to heat ratio is just right. Meaning, I can douse my food with enough sauce to taste it fully without it being too hot. It's great on my breakfast burrito. I haven't had this sauce with beef yet, but every time I eat it, I imagine it would taste great with steak or hamburger. My only gripe with this sauce is the wax seal. It's interesting and more secure than plastic film, but it's a pain in the butt to remove.

Since day 1 of buying sauces from The Heatonist, we have been using them on frozen wings and legs that we deep fry ourselves. We've found it's a good base to get the true taste of the sauces we try. I barely remember this sauce, mostly that I expected way more heat than I got. I think it was a "more sauce means more heat" kind of sauce. I might just have to repurchase to get a better feel for it.
