If you’re a mushroom fan, this is the way to go. Although I don’t think it’s quite as spicy as the 5/10 rating suggests, but it’s definitely delicious. I love it on burgers!

This sauce can be used as a substitute for maybe a brown or spicy brown mustard. It is a phenomenal sauce, suggest using it in tandem with just mayo on a sandwich so good!

This hot sauce plays a lil high on the Vinegar scale for my liking. But oddly enough, it only shows in the FIRST bite. The burn is direct but easy and combines INCREDIBLY WELL with my Fried Rice. YUP! Fried Rice!! Thats what sold me and might become a staple in my kitcken . Its "ok" on other foods. I think of Vinegar and a sweeter almost earthy flavor when using this hot sauce.

This sauce is so good, and has quickly become my husband's favorite. We use it often on pizza, but also on breakfast hash, sandwiches, you name it. Love the savory mushroom and balsamic flavor balanced with the peppery heat from the habanero. I have already repurchased this and intend to keep doing so.

Really strong vinegar taste wasn't what I was looking for.

I've been through many a hot sauce in my life, but this has been the most interesting take in a long time. Majority of sauces are chili, tomato, white vinegar seasonings. Dawson's really throws a curve ball with the pureed mushroom and balsamic. Not your average hot sauce. I'd say it's much more of a spread. Heat is not flashy, but not overstated either. I'm not too surprised at how much I liked this as I love mushrooms and balsamic vinegar. I find this sauce pairs well with foods that don't have a prominent protein in it or as a sandwich spread.

I've had the Dawson's "Heatonist #1" and wow that is hot! It was an amazing sauce and I wanted to find more. I love habaneros and I love mushrooms. I could not resist this. This sauce has a softer touch. It's hot but it is something that the whole family can enjoy. Its reaction to heat during cooking makes the pepper heat dissipate and develop more flavor. If you toss this on top of a cold dish as a condiment it is a bit stronger but if you like this experience it's amazing in my opinion. I recommend something acidic to balance it out if it's done this way, any dish with lemon or tomato etc. This works amazing with pickled mustard seeds :) I've noticed how different people react to different chilies in different ways. For me, Habenero chiles are very hot when raw or served ceviche style but when cooked they lose a lot of flair. This sauce has all of this in mind. It cooks perfectly and develops flavor as the partner cremini will dictate. I love this sauce, one of my favorites from my Heatonist adventures thus far. I love that this enhances certain other aromatics and flavors to cook with. I especially enjoy pairing this with rosemary, thyme and sage, the three classic poultry seasonings. This sauce is very good with meat I think because it works well with fats but I have had a lot of success with vegan and vegetarian dishes as well.
