I've been caught off-guard with this sauce. I didn't know what to expect when going in and have been highly impressed. it's very hot and has a great Asian flavour. The downside is that this sauce doesn't go well with a lot of foods. I really enjoy it with dumplings or mixed with rice.

This amazing sauce, I am a true fan. It pairs well with beef, chicken and soups, also spaghetti. It is soo hot you must use with care, tho the heat is savory. Yes it adds a great flavor, not just heat.

This was disappointing. It had been a sauce that I was looking forward to since I saw it being used in the latest season of Hot Ones, and kept eagerly awaiting it showing up in my subscription box. Well, it finally came. Woo! And so, I gave it a try. Now, everyone's tastes are going to be different, and that's fine. My tongue is not your tongue. However, my tongue picked up only 2 things from this sauce: vinegar and then heat. The heat took a long time to show up, too. Not that that's inherently bad, but it would've been nice if it'd shown up earlier to "wash" the taste of the vinegar out of my mouth. Tamari? Sesame Oil? Togarashi? Didn't taste any of them. I expected to at least taste the oil, since that tends to be a pretty warm, nutty flavor. But nope. None of it. Vinegar and then heat. That's it. And there's plenty of other sauces that'll do that same sort of thing. This one only stood out to me by how much it didn't stand out.

I love hot food, but this was my first purchase from the Heatonist. I really enjoy the flavor and heat of the Aka Miso sauce. I would highly recommend it as a mid tier hot sauce for people who aren't sure how hot they can go, but want a way hotter hot sauce than you can get at most brick and mortar stores this is the way to go. The sauce can be use liberally for a real burn, or it can be used as just a drop or 2 in a large meal for some added heat and flavor. Overall I would say the heat and the flavor balance beautifully, and this is a great hot sauce for people who know they like heat and spice, but aren't ready for some of the other face melting hot sauces on the Heatonist.

Really good taste, kicked up with the reaper and ghost pepper. Just love this sauce! I sent a bottle to a friend also and they raved about it.

Nah i thought it wouldnt be as hot as it is... nope. I was sorely mistaken. It’s hot. The flavour is quite nice when put with chicken nuggets or tenders. It also goes well with the Pineapple Habanero as that isnt as hot but adds a fruity flavour that makes the straight heat of the aka miso better. But font sleep. It’s HOT

I tried this on a spoon when I got it a few days ago and thought it was awesome, but I waited until now to try it with some food. I had it with some sausage and it was amazing. I could put this sauce on anything. I'm a bit of a chili head, so this had some zing to it, but not super hot. This sauce tastes far better than hotter sauces such as Aubrey D Scorpion and Chocolate Plague. However, it also tastes better than other ghost pepper sauces I've had. The aka miso really gives it a great and unique flavor. I don't know why others don't like the sauce. If it was bad I would have slammed it and threw out the bottle as well.

No flavor, just pure hot. Ruins anything you put it on. We ended up throwing the bottle away, very disappointed.
