“This sauce has great flavor but is really hot. I mix it with Cosmic Dumpling and enjoy it on any Asian recipe. The two pair nicely and I am able to enjoy more of the Aka Miso which I love.”

“The umami taste in this sauce is unlike anything else I've tried! It's a savory addition with an up-front heat instead of a lingering or building hot. I like to mix it with other sauces, or apply it in tiny drops with a chopstick, it's on the higher end of what I can handle.”

“Aka Miso sauce has a legit Japanese flavor because it genuinely contains red (aka) miso. This makes it a nice compliment to Asian foods where you want to step up the heat -- but you need to really want to step the heat up, because this sauce is truly hot, with a lasting burn. My middle son, who isn't into sauces past about medium heat, does not even like the flavor of this, much less the burn. I do like the flavor, but even I (who like hot but not superhot) have to apply this one sparingly.”

“The hottest sauce that tastes amazing! Just a dab will do ya'. If you can handle the heat, there is a hidden great flavor to this sauce that I am now addicted to.”

“This one was particularly hot, more so than some others I purchased that were rated higher in heat level. To be honest, I did not enjoy the taste at all but was fun to try out since it was the one that sent myself and friends into darker territory. Note, this was straight up oil being poured out rather than a normal thicker sauce texture, so be warned it comes out of the bottle fast.”

I’m so sorry this sauce wasn’t your cup of tea. We find it is absolutely phenomenal on ramen and chicken with rice. It also makes a great marinade! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com
