“Despite the 5/10 Heat rating, I would describe this as a warm, Asian Cooking oil. It's going to be great to add a little kick to take-out Chinese food.”

“This is very different from a "traditional" hot sauce. More an oil than a sauce, it is great for Asian-inspired meals, rather than a condiment or wing sauce. The flavour is great, but its uses are more limited than other Heatonist sauces”

“High calorie chili oil. Yes, it’s good for what it is, and “sings” on yada yada yada, but it’s just chili oil that anyone can pick up in an Asian section/market.”

“Perfect amount of heat, savory and rich flavor. Not a classic hot sauce flavor but I would recommend this as a "try it" sauce for anyone.”

“This is a great hot sauce! Good amount of heat (I have a fairly high tolerance for hot sauces) without overpowering everything else on the plate. I've tried it with eggs and also with some plain noodles - just yum!”

I’m so sorry this sauce wasn’t your cup of tea. We find it really sings on poke bowls and tofu sammies. It also makes a great marinade! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com
