“I have had Chili Oil from Fly By Jing and its a pretty good chili oil if you like the numbing effects of Sichuan chili peppers. This is essentially the same exact thing as their sichuan chili oil, but just the oil and not the chili crunch (dry chili, fried garlic, etc.). That doesn't make this a bad hot sauce, but it doesn't make it anything special to me. I question how much of this can really be consumed en masse as it really is just straight chili oil. Despite that criticism I still rate this 4/5 stars since I love Sichuan chili pepper sauces/oils and this definitely hits the spot with that.”

Oh no! So sorry this sauce threw you for a loop. We find it really sings on burgers and chicken tacos. It also makes a great marinade! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com
