“What should be really great chess little set is somewhat spoiled by an array of careless flaws.Some pieces have noticeable chips, are incorrectly filed, have missing felt, or are simply a bit wonky.The board itself is nice enough only for a noticeable scuff where the lacquered finish looks to have been sanded.Overall, its not completely awful when you consider the price. A cheap a portable set.”
“I asked my son to open this as it is a gift to him,we were bowled over by the beautiful way it had been packaged and the quality of the whole set is fantastic.I was not expecting it to be so lovely,my son was so impressed he put it all back and said he didnt want to take it out again in case it got damaged ! “I was looking for purchasing good chess that would make you feel you hold a heavy wooden piece in your hand. Instead pieces are super light, do not stand straight, and feels like being done from a cheap plastic I would recommend to search for some other sets”
“Fantastic product. Amazing quality for the price. This is a lovely starter or travel chess set. I bought it for my Daughter, to teach her chess, so didnt want to pay a lot of money, in case she didnt like it. For the money the set is very well made and detailed well enough to make out the pieces easily. The board it well made as well and has nice features like magnets to hold it together when closed. Only thing I would like to see are some drawstring bags to hold the pieces in when closed. That would be a nice touch but I bought some from Amazon for a couple of pounds! Would highly recommend.”
