About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “I bought this for my 3 year old nephew after seeing him again for the first time since the end of lockdown. It is a beautifully made product that will last and he loves playing with it along with the lovely box it came in. Overall Im very satisfied with my purchase, I think the price is good as well as there was another similar product available which was actually more expensive but just didnt look as good.”

“Ive given this a 3 star over all only because when it arrived I didnt want to open it to have a look as it was so neatly wrapped and it was a gift. when my friends little girl opened it at her birthday I noticed the coloured animals had rubbed on the ark and marked it which is disappointing and a chunk of the wood was hanging off which must have happened before packaging which is also very disappointing... the toy itself is lovely and good value for money but disappointed that the abrasion happens which makes it look second hand and that whoever packaged it did not notice the wood hanging off... my friend had to glue it back down which was embarrassing and disappointing as a present!”
