Baby Chicks: Green Queen Easter Egger Female Reviews

4.5 Rating 174 Reviews
Received my green queen chick yesterday, along with several others in my new mixed flock. She is beautiful and healthy! Very pretty blue color, tiny beard, and lightly feathered legs and feet. I can't wait to see how she will look when she feathers out!

My GQEE is 26 weeks old now and a beautiful girl. She is black with a gorgeous green sheen all over and full muffs. However, she does not lay blue/green eggs— fairly certain she’s a light pinkish brown tinted layer. And also, she was my first to go broody. She has a sweet disposition and seems very healthy, so can’t complain for overall purchase. Just wished I would’ve ordered a different breed when paying these prices to ensure I was getting a different color layer in my mix.

I purchased my first chickens in September from MPC. All five arrived healthy and have done very well. My green queen did develop a crossbeak as she grew, but MPC took care of it with a refund and gave tips on how to care for her. She has thrived with just a couple minor adjustments (large deep bowl for food works best for her, and I made mash when she was a chick) and is the first of the 5 to lay an egg! She laid her first egg yesterday, just shy of being 6 months old. It's a gorgeous sage green! I can't say enough about her personality- she is smart, funny and affectionate. She is the first one to explore anything new and is one of the top chickens in the pecking order. She comes running to me any time she sees me.

My green queen is almost 8 weeks. She is gorgeous. Dark grey with beautiful soft feathers. Surprised she had a top notch like she is silked. Super friendly. Just love her. Wish I had bought two.

Let me just say she is STUNNING. These blue grey feathers, amber eyes and highlights on her plumage. Wow just a beauty to my flock. Hasn't laid her first egg yet! Should be soon!

Great experience with the company. The customer service is amazing! You can sense their love for chickens and they knew about the delivery and shipping process more than the actual post office. Ya’ll are awesome!

Hate to give a 4 star cause my green queen is beautiful unique Easter Egger, but she lays a cream colored egg. My pet chicken does pre warn you that you may not get a green egg. So it was worth the risk, just wanted to write a review to see how often you may or may not get a green egg.

I ordered my 3 Queens in April and by mid September my 1st girl was laying (around 22 weeks) she lays a lovely green egg. My 2nd girl started lying a month later a beautiful pink egg. Was quite the shock but I knew it could happen. The 3rd girl started crowing at 18weeks sooo she was rehomed to another family that could have roos and I was promptly refunded. I guess I’m just lucky that 1 of the 3 I ordered was what I expected but all the chicks are healthy and loved so I’m not upset but more amused with my luck
