She is already the biggest of our flock and also vying for top hen. But such a sweetie. Also, she has an extra toe on each foot which makes her more unique.

She arrived healthy and lays egg, which are the most important things and reason for 4 stars. But honestly this is the most disappointing chick we've received. She lays brown eggs and is the most skittish/unfriendly hen we have. Really wanted green eggs but now I'm worried about ordering this breed again.

Thank you for your honest feedback—we’re glad to hear she arrived healthy and is laying reliably, but we completely understand your disappointment about the egg color and her temperament. While Green Queens are bred with the goal of producing green eggs, we do note on the breed page that a small percentage may lay a different color egg, including brown. It’s rare, but it can happen due to the mixed genetics behind creating fun egg colors. As for her skittish nature, every bird has her own unique personality, but we know how frustrating it can be when one doesn’t quite warm up the way you'd hoped. Thanks again for giving her a chance and for being part of our flock!

Arrived healthy but smaller than our Austrolorp and Orp but quickly has caught up size wise.

My hen started laying today at about 21 weeks old and it’s a beautiful light green egg. So thrilled!
