“I received 2 of these birds in my order last year. They both lay the cutest blue eggs, smaller than a standard breed, but bigger than a bantam egg. One bird had a crest like the one in the picture and the other does not. Both have the sweetest and most docile personalities!”
Glad to hear your chicks are growing and thriving! Your chicks were about a month old at the time you posted your review, so their feathers should be filling in as they mature. We hope they bring you years of joy!
“Our babies arrived in perfect condition! They were packaged with lots of TLC and they are doing wonderful! Will definitely purchase chicks from here again, cuteness overload!”
“Got 4 of these silked white EE's about 8 months ago. They were very shy and flighty as chicks but have become more relaxed and friendly as adults. One let's my daughter carry her around for hours. As described, they each have a variety of different silky traits and each one is unique.
Started laying right around the 6 month mark. I believe that at least 3 are laying blue eggs, one has more of a green tint to it than blue imo. The others are baby blue as pictured on the site. The egg size is smaller than I was hoping for, slightly larger than my bantams but much smaller than my orpingtons.
They do go broody as silkies are known to do but I can usually break them of it without much fuss. Not as insanely stubborn as my cochins thankfully.
Overall I'm glad i have them in my flock. Not sure how they compare with regular silkies but I adore their floof and beautiful blue eggs.”
“I have ordered these from y’all twice now. The first time I ordered 3 or 4, I ended up giving them to other people and the one I was to keep, I couldn’t say no to a little girl. I thought, “I’ll just order more. “ later I order two more. One died so after arriving, it had 5 toes and the one that survived had 4. She just started laying and her eggs are a light, sky blue. She has black skin, the crest and beard of a silkie, body of an Easter Egger and great demeanor.
One of the chicks from the first batch is all grown up! She has 5 toes, black skin, and is currently broody. So she may have the body shape of an EE but everything else is silkie like. She lays pretty light brown eggs that are a bit smaller than my friends other EEs and larger than the silkie eggs.
They have great personalities and we love them!! We were hoping to share photos to the review of what them and their eggs look like, how do I do that? They are the same breed, but look so different.”
