Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Check-in tokens - allowing students to reflect on how they are personally feeling and allows me as the teacher to know what is going on behind the scenes and who I might need to ‘handle with care’

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Everyone is their own person. We are all different and have different strengths that deserve to be celebrated. Everyone wants aspects of someone else but we need to be confident with who we are. You don’t grow in your comfort zone.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence The ability of know when and how to ask for help when their batteries are feeling low. Understanding that they are all different and excel at different things within learning

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? We have done a lot of being inclusive. We’ve continued with daily checkins and have done a whanau corner to celebrate where we come from and what makes us special.

“These ideas and resources allow you to set your classroom up for inclusivity, well-being, understanding our emotions, and learning what actions we can do to support ourselves and help others. By having discussions about well-being and using check in systems it allows our well-being to be at the centre of our classroom and understand it’s importance when it comes to being ready to learn.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them students did not like this at first but after getting use to it they enjoyed the rewards and calming down activities.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The re energise mat. Students knew they could move their to recharge their social battery, calm down, or relax for a while.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? positive behaviour is a good thing and controlling myself will help me grow as a person.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? It has encouraged a culture of it is okay to not be okay, and an awareness that not everyone is always feeling great.

“I found the students developed agency when using the tokens each morning, thinking about how they were prior to the beginning of the day. They loved the tokens - nice and easy to use. It allowed me to easily see who I needed to touch base with as well. The charging station worked well for some students, but I did struggle to get some into it.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them It was fun and didn't feel like normal school work. I think it has helped me to be more confident.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The use of shared language through the displays with great as it allowed student to discuss things they might not have been able to before.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Hopefully they will use what they have learnt over the next year to continue to grow and hopefully set them up for success at high school

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence They are able to be more comfortable around each other and it has helped jell the class with a shared experience.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? The kit along with our own school health program has shown students it is ok to fail but it's what we do after that will determine if we let things overwhelm us or bot
