Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I thought the kit was great because I liked being able to show how I was feeling. I really liked the flow chart on the back page as I could follow it to see how I might be able to solve my problems.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Booklets, they could each independently think about their own feelings, strengths etc...

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We are all talking about our emotions more and how we can regulate them.

“I thought the self-esteem books were great for our learners to focus on themselves and what makes them unique and amazing. It is really beneficial to be able to recognise emotions and how you are feeling and what you can do to help regulate these emotions.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging station. It is bright, easy to use and is relatable to the students age.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That its ok in a day to move through all the zones, as long as you have the tools to reset yourself.

The Charging Station-it provides an opportunity for students to check in, provides opportunities for students at green and yellow to regulate themselves, and at red students are given time to reflect on how they feel, and who they may need help from. It a

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That they are beatifully, and wonderfully created by God, and God does not make mistakes, that their feelings are important and valid, but they can move on from it no matter how bad, and I hope that they are more resilient.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence There is more openness and sharing of the different cultures and the way things are done. When students hear inappropriate put downs they are quick to speak up. There is more risk taking with some of the quieter students.

Most students are able to self regulate, check in at the Charging Station, follow the prompts, however there are a few students who still found there feelings so overwhelming and there first response is to have a tantrum either at school or at home.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? Mostly positive. I had ordered the kit with one particular student in mind prior to the start of the year. Unfortunately this kit has no impact on him as there are other problems that need to be addressed.

Student B: I liked the reflections and filling our battery checklist. It helped me focus on positive things that help charge me.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I think the reflections and discussions that the pamphlet provided. Particularly the cricle of influence and developing the recharge plan. I think this because it helped to guide redirecting conversations when things went awol. Students had the skills

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? Supported the development of shared language. Checking in on one another and we talked about how we can be a protective factor for others.

“We did not use all of the activities in the kit but the ones we used to complement our values learning have enhanced the learning for our students. It has achieved this through solidifying the building of protective factors and building self-awareness. For our students it was not so much about building self-confidence it was more about feeling in control and agency within themselves and creating more calm in their world.”

“This is my 2nd time using this kit and it continues to be relevant and meaningful for my students. I find it really useful for developing a stronger connection with my students and gaining a deeper insight into who they are a person.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The recharge station and unpacking this with our learners. We were able to link it in with Te Whare Tapa Wha.

“Our class enjoyed completing this kit. The most beneficial part of the kit (for my class) was the 'Charging Station.' It encouraged the learners to reflect on how they were at the start of the day, but also to implement a strategy to support them through the day. The form they fill out if in 'the red', was excellent for me as a classroom teacher to check in with them, and support them also.”
