Researching superlatives in nature, the biggest, longest, tallest, heaviest, loudest, smallest.... kids are really interested in the extremes.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students?
Yes. Lots of mathematical thinking esp in the measurement strand. Reading and recording time and length, ordering time and length, thinking in seconds and milliseconds, choosing appropriate measures for different records.
How successful was this kit in encouraging physical activity in your class?
