What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit?
They loved the language involved in writing their record. We also tied it into some of our science learning with one group doing how many exploding film canisters could they do in one go
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit?
Some students have been continuing their records on - challenging others to break them and have refined their measurement skills. We also encouraged other classes to get involved just by them being curious about what we were doing.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students?
There was a lot of thinking about what they were going to measure - time, distance, height etc. It also caused discussion on how they were going to measure - some used stopwatches, rulers, tape measure or less conventional means - cubes, steps, counting
