What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Students could re-do their challenges with a greater depth of thinking about how to measure their challenges.

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? Students followed the Statistical Investigation process (PPDAC) and measurement (mostly time based).

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? The children tended to make up records that involved physical movements. They were then completing the records and using their mathematical knowledge to find results.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Would like to look more at sports technology.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Student were motivated to improve their fitness levels to beat the records and to improve their ball skills or skipping ability. Balance became a talking point so we spoke about core strength, crossing the midline and fine and gross motor control. Childre
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Most importantly the students have a 'can do' attitude after participating in this kit. World records seemed so unattainable but now they know that it is possible to reach this height. The math that they used made math something less academic and more rel

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? Children had to remember how to measure correctly, both time and pineal measurements. They learnt to work out a rate during an activity to see if they were likely to beat an existing record.

Thank you for another awesome kit, my students always enjoy this one! They love trying to break the existing records and feel so empowered when they realise that they could possibly make a new record. It's heaps of fun, creative and usually gets them moving so a big win!

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Patience, perseverance, sharing ideas and resources were all evident as was tenacity and a little competitiveness to hold a record. Good opportunity to write uing adverbs and adjectives for structured purpose - literacy.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We will revisit the kit to build on the math and literacy concepts that have been used so far. Great kit, Thanks very much from Korimako 2 @ Ōhoka school

How did the kit components encourage mathematical thinking for your students? Kit really helped to see previous maths learning real world fun situations. Use of timers and measuring tapes were great hands on tools to help students see measurement in action as part of their record attempts.
